FIBERGLASS MONOCOQUE
W-TECHNOLOGY

As illustrated by the word itself, a fibreglass monocoque bodyshell is molded as part of a single block without any joints.

A ONE-PIECE BODYWORK IS THE ONLY ONE TRULY GUARANTEED AGAINST WATER LEAKS.

Wingamm's monocoque bodyshells are one-piece structures, which as they have no joins eliminate the risk of water leaks, and have an extremely high finish inside and outside.

The excellent insulation ensures considerable performance levels also in terms of thermal and acoustic comfort.

INFILTRATIONS: The fact that there are no joints between the walls and roof of the monocoque is the only true GUARANTEE AGAINST WATER LEAKS.

SAFETY: The monocoque is a SELF-BEARING monocoque structure with resistance to collisions far higher than the structure of a traditional motorhome with assembled panels.

ACOUSTIC COMFORT: The monocoque is made from a single piece, with no additional screwed-on straps / skirts in light ABS. This ensures great acoustic comfort while driving.

DURABILITY: The structure of the monocoque has a sandwich design: FIBREGLASS + POLYURETHANE FOAM + FIBREGLASS. There are no panels or wooden slats that might deteriorate over time.

INSULATION: thanks to their micro-cellular structure, the POLYURETHANE FOAM contained inside the two fiberglass sheets forming the monocoque provide the best thermal insulation - the only one used to make equipment for the so-called “cold chain” (cold stores).

STABILITY ON THE ROAD: A limited size, an aerodynamic design, a short overhang and balanced weight ensure great stability on the road.

Fiberglass is an extremely resistant material, at the same time very elastic and light, this great elasticity eliminates hail damage. The systematic application of the Wingamm light construction concept takes full advantage of this feature.

Fiberglass is not a thermal conductor

By thermal conduction is meant the transmission of heat that takes place in a solid, liquid or aeriform medium (within one body) from the areas with a higher temperature to those with a lower temperature

For example, putting the end of a metal bar over a flame, after some time the other end also heats up and can burn. Metals are conductors.

By repeating the experience with a glass tube, it is observed that the point in contact with the flame may turn red due to the high temperature, while a few centimeters away there is only a weak increase in temperature; that is, it is due to the fact that glass conducts heat worse than metal.

100% FIBERGLASS

A bodywork made of metal or containing metal parts cannot retain the heat inside, it is naturally led to the colder outside - it cannot guarantee good internal thermal comfort.

The fiberglass monocoque, on the other hand, is a sandwich structure made exclusively of fiberglass and polyurethane foam: IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY METAL PART that acts as a thermal bridge and conducts heat from the inside (heated area) to the outside.

Once the interior of the fiberglass monocoque is heated, there is no heat dispersion / exchange from the inside to the outside - the heat remains inside.

Thermal comfort is excellent and savings in terms of consumption too!
